Texas Estate Records

Coverage & freshness

Which counties we cover, what we track, and how current the data is.

Counties

We are expanding county by county across Texas, prioritizing the largest metro counties first. A live, per-county breakdown with record counts is on the Counties page; the County filter on the Records page always reflects exactly what is currently available.

Document types tracked

  • Affidavit of Heirship
  • Small Estate Affidavit
  • Affidavit of Death
  • Executor's / Administrator's / Personal Representative's Deed

Additional estate-related document types are added over time - see the Changelog.

Freshness

Covered counties are re-checked on a regular cadence and new filings are typically ingested within a day or two of being recorded, subject to each county's own publishing delay. The status banner on the Records page shows when the most recent ingest ran.

Backfill

For most counties we begin with recent filings and extend the historical archive backward over time. If you need a specific county or date range prioritized, get in touch.
